Quality Label EUROINF

In Spain, the management of this seal is carried out by ANECA, as an agency authorized by EQANIE, through the International Quality Seals program.

Spanish legislation establishes that the initial accreditation of official degrees must be renewed periodically from the date of their verification or from the date of their last accreditation (Royal Decree 861/2010, of 2 July, which amends Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, which establishes the organisation of official university education in Spain).

In this context, ANECA offers degrees in certain disciplines the possibility of obtaining an international seal of recognised prestige, simultaneously with the process of renewing the accreditation of the degree.

Since June 2015, the Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence (MUIA) has been participating in the 2016 call of this programme, through which the degree is seeking to renew its accreditation and obtain the EURO-INF European quality seal, taking advantage of the synergies between both assessment procedures.

The Euro-Inf seal is a quality label awarded to a university for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in informatics evaluated according to a set of defined standards, in accordance with the principles of quality, relevance, transparency, recognition and mobility as set out in the European Higher Education Area according to the prestigious European association EQANIE (European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education).

In Spain, the management of this label is carried out by ANECA, as an agency authorized by EQANIE, through the Sellos Internacionales de Calidad program.
